The Inaugural All Things Go NYC Music Festival in Photos
All Things Go Music Festival played its very first year in New York City Sept. 28-29 at Forest Hills Stadium, and queer, female artists ruled the weekend. The festival lineup was almost entirely made up of women, and nearly all of the featured artists are part of the LGBTQ+ community—projected visuals during MUNA’s set even lovingly nicknamed the festival “Lesbopalooza.”
Rain poured over the stadium for much of both Saturday and Sunday, but the conditions didn’t put a damper on the weekend. Fans persevered through the weather, throwing ponchos over fabulous outfits and packing the sold-out stadium to dance and sing along to their favorite artists. The weekend’s headliners included Reneé Rapp and MUNA on Saturday; with Janelle Monáe, Ethel Cain, and Julien Baker on Sunday. Pop sensation Chappell Roan was originally slated to headline Saturday, but dropped out of the lineup Sept. 27 for mental health reasons.
The festival quickly put together a solution, and Roan’s slot was replaced with “Queens of the Dance Floor: An ATG Drag Party.” New York City drag queens took the stage for a joy-filled set, with a DJ playing all the hits from Roan’s album “The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess.” The queens in attendance included Hanukah Lewinsky, Mo'Riah, Reese Havoc, Beaujangless, Aquaria, and Kevin Aviance. Aviance was an especially notable guest, known not only for his fame in the NYC club/ballroom scene, but also for his features on Beyoncé’s 2022 album “Renaissance.”
The full lineup of artists also included Towa Bird, Coco & Clair Clair, Soccer Mommy, Del Water Gap, Holly Humberstone, Annie DiRusso, Indigo De Souza, Mannequin Pussy, Samia, and Maisie Peters.
