Jake Minch Offers Acoustic Opening Set at the Bowery Ballroom

Singer-songwriter Jake Minch delivered a lively opening set at Bowery Ballroom March 4 supporting Grace Enger on the “it’s so fun” tour. Backed by just an acoustic guitar, Minch brought a warm energy to the intimate venue, chatting with audience members like friends between songs.

Minch’s setlist featured acoustic tracks like his 2024 single “jessie,” as well as a cover of Phoebe Bridgers’ “Funeral,” which was met by ecstatic screams from the crowd. The evening was also a homecoming of sorts for Minch, who shared that the Bowery Ballroom was where he attended his first concert.

The audience swayed and sang along to much of Minch’s discography, characterized by heartfelt lyrics and softly strummed guitar. By the end of his set, the venue was illuminated by its shining disco ball, and Minch had set the mood perfectly for the evening of music.

Enger’s “it’s so fun” tour will continue through March 21, with stops remaining in Nashville, Atlanta, West Hollywood, and more.
